My name is Michael Christopher Mankin,
and I am a writer, artist, musician, and philosopher — a lover of classic literature, an enthusiast of great (and not-so-great) films, a poet of the technology age, and a fierce critic of all mass-marketed, pop-culture television dramas not currently being produced and/or written by Joss Whedon.
I also enjoy programming and am currently working as an analyst at Asurion. I have developed a relatively broad range of applications from mobile device software to client/server applications. At present, my work is concentrated around highly concurrent and fault-tolerant, distributed and parallel systems. But I am fascinated by type systems, language theory, functional programming, and almost any obscure computer science field of dubious practicality.
